5 years is a long time to water plants
About a month after I moved to Van, I started working at the UBC Botanical Gardens. I've worked there for the whole time I've lived here.
Since I'm trying to finish up, and I can't work there if I'm not a student, I had to put in my notice. Today is my very last day there. Its a bit weird, because as far as jobs go, I've had this one longer than most.
Anyway, I decided to take some pictures of the cool plants that were around. There wasn't much, since its October and business is slow right now. But there was still some cool things.
Darn sunflowers. They were so hard to water. One time I was required to crawl along the floor to water them so I didn't accidentally cross-pollinate any as the researcher study pollinator effects on evolution.
